Day 03: Kathmandu
Morning after having a leisurely breakfast you will be transferred to Delhi International Airport to board the flight for Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. On arrival in Kathmandu you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to the hotel for overnight stay. Kathmandu, the beautiful capital of Nepal is located on the Kathmandu valley. It is the major administrative and commercial hub of Nepal. Kathmandu is a travel destination for its temple heritage. Moreover, it is also a Buddhist destination as it houses some huge Buddhist Stupas. Over night stay at your hotel.
Day 04: Kathmandu
After having a leisurely breakfast move out for a full day sightseeing tour of the city. Visit complex Durbar Square, the royal Palace Museum, Patan's Durbar Square, etc. In the evening time you will visit the biggest Hindu temple of Lord Shiva, Pashupatinath. It is located on the bank of Bagmati River. After dinner, Over night stay at your hotel.
Day 05: Kathmandu
Kathmandu is a Buddhist destination in Nepal. Today you will visit the Buddhist attractions of Kathmandu. Visit the Boudhnath Stupa, the largest Stupa of Nepal which towers 36 meters. The eyes of Lord Buddha are painted on each side of the Stupa. The gateway to the Stupa is colorfully decorated. Then tour the Second Buddhist shrine Swayambhunath located at the hill top. The Stupa complex houses six Stupas of Buddha. Also tour the Chabahil - Stupa located on the west of Boudhnath Stupa and Gorakhnath Cave and Ashura Cave which house some Buddhist temples. After dinner, overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 06: Kathmandu – Lumbini
Morning after having a leisurely breakfast drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Lumbini is the one of the most revered places in Buddhism as Lord Buddha was born at Lumbini as Gautam Buddha in a royal family. Lumbini houses the Maya Devi Temple, the pond, and the Ashoka Pillar. The other attractions are the Stupa, and Buddhist temples founded later by the Buddhist countries. Today in the afternoon, you will tour all the sites of Lumbini. After dinner, overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 07: Lumbini – Kushinagar
In the early morning move out to visit Kapilvastu where Buddha spent the early years of his life. Tour the Eastern Stupa Complex, the Royal Palace and other attractions. Drive to Kushinagar. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Then you tour the site of mahaparinirvana where Buddha died at the age of 81. Kushinagar is a revered pilgrimage site as it is the symbol for complete nirvana of Buddha. Buddha spent the last days of his life preaching sermon to his disciples at Kushinagar. Over night stay at your hotel.
Day 08: Kushinagar - Vaishali – Bodhgaya
After having a leisurely breakfast, check out the hotel. Then our representative will take you to Bodhgaya. Enroute you will tour Vaishali, the pilgrimage site where Buddha preached his last sermon before proceeding to Kushinagar. Buddhist Pilgrimage tour covers this site also it is closely related with Buddhism. Explore the Ashoka Pillar, the brick Stupa, Vaishali Museum and other sites. Then continue drive to Bodhgaya and on arrival take the hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 09: Bodhgaya (excursion to Rajgir and Nalanda)
Bodhgaya as the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in India as it is the site where Buddha meditated and attained enlightenment. The discovery of four noble truths and eightfold path are the basic principles of Buddhism which are discovery of Buddha's spiritual quest under the Bodhi tree. The two days at Bodhgaya are devoted for sightseeing Bodgaya, and excursion tour to Rajgir, Nalanda. You will be surprised to see the Bodhi tree at Bodhgaya and other Buddhist remnants and temples at Rajgir and Nalanda. Over night stay at your hotel.
Day 10: Bodhgaya - Gaya – New Delhi
Morning after having a delightful breakfast drive to Gaya to board your flight to Delhi. On arrival at appropriate time you will be transferred to the international airport of New Delhi to board the flight back to your home with a bunch of sweet memories. |
