Day 03 : Mumbai - Mahabaleshwar, 300 km
Morning drive to Mahabaleshwar. On arrival examine in at the hotel. Overnight remain at hotel.
Day 04 : Mahabaleshwar
Early morning following breakfast sightseeing tour of Mahabaleshwar visit which includes Wilson point, also known as as Sunrise point, Connaught peak, Castle Rock, Arthur's Seat Queen of all points. Baghdad Position, Falkland Position below it the Artists point also known as as lovers stage by some nature lover, presents stunning koyana & valley below you. Also pay a visit to Bombay Level very popular sunset level. Shows the sahyadri range koyana valley. Overnight remain at hotel.
Day 05 : Mahabaleshwar - Panchgani - Mahabaleshwar
Early morning right after breakfast an excursion to Panchgani, on arrival pay a visit to Sydney Position - this stage is situated on a small hillock facing the Krishna Valley. From here one can see the glittering waters of the Dhom Dam and Pandavgad and Mandhardeo are also easily seen. Table Land - Situated around 60 mts high ,this flat large expanse of laterite rock is the second longest mountain plateau in Asia. Devil's Kitchen - it is situated towards the south of tableland, is also a place of mythological interest. It is believed that the Pandavas stayed here for a while and used this place to cook their food. There are some legends regarding this, though most of them appear to be mere tall tales. Some people claim that Pandvgadh Caves ( near Wai ) are also built by them and bear their name. The Lingmala Falls -the stream here precipitates over the face of steep cliff, unbroken when the torrent is swollen by rain but ordinarily divided by projecting rocks about one third of the way down into thin silver streaks and sprays often circled by rainbows. Rajapuri Caves - about 10 km from the town, the caves have a religious importance as there is a temple of Lord Karthikeya, (Lord Shiva's son) here. A temple of local goddess Ghatjal Devi is also inside the area. Later inside the evening return to Mahabaleshwar. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 : Mahabaleshwar - Mumbai
Morning immediately after breakfast drive to Mumbai. On arrival verify in at the hotel. Overnight remain at hotel.
Day 07 : Departure
Transfer towards the airport to board the flight for onward destination. |
